over the last 2 years the pound sterling is down 15% vs USD and 21% vs the euro. Gotta adjust prices under those conditions

Seriously, though, raises based solely on currency fluctuations are annoying. If there aren't also price decreases when a currency gets strong again then we end up with more quickly rising prices. |

UK Price increase imminent
Rather than a price rise how about showing UK citizenship to purchase to curb the Rolex tourists? (Controversial:))
Obviously never going to happen in a free market as the ADs don't care who they sell to as long as you buy enough. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Off topic but I went to Wigan once to a mate's house for Sunday lunch. He cooked roast pork. Being a Wigan man I'm sure you'd know him - Dean Bell. Gone back home now. Lovely fella |

Haha that truly is bizarre. You've hit nail on the head. When I go to the AD in Turkey on holiday they always price things up against the Euro as they say they have to pay in advance from Rolex in Euros. Perhaps the UK was different but will now have to purchase in Euros as well? |

Slight brand tangent here but I've just been into an AD who stocks Rolex and Patek who didn't mention the Rolex increase (I didn't ask) but did say all Patek prices are going up 5.5% from 1st Sept if anyone has an incoming due.

I have heard no talk of an increase outside watch fora.
I am not expecting one at the moment, but may of course be wrong. Haywood

My understanding is that no price rise is imminent and that it would be something for Q4 or Q1'18

No. It's happening after this weekend, Rolex have coincided it with the school kids breaking up for summer holiday. The local head mistress told me in the VIP tent at the school fete.

After going through all the stages of grief, I finally accepted that Rolex and PP can do whatever they want regarding prices and supplies and we'll still all be lining up

Last price increase was about October/November time last year as I bought a DSSD Blue just before the prices went up and a Daytona C just after

I was told by the sales rep in Watches of Switzerland Regent Street, on Thursday, that a price rise was imminent.

He's just trying to sell you a watch. There are also rumours Panerai will be raising prices on the 1st of August by at least 5%. This has been from multiple ADs so i suspect the Rolex increase is simply a result of these rumors. One brand = all brands.

My circumstances mean that I would be more than happy to wait for a watch than pay an extra £500-1000 for it. I don't have the cash to throw at it like that.

The 10% price rise last year meant AD's margins were improved so I feel they would want the stock, thus I think it is Rolex Geneva that are more reluctant to supply until prices and profits are more equal around the world. |

Current UK list price for 116610LV is £6600. But I've not seen one @ an AD since about April 2016
