Tudor 79090 case - polished or not?

Hey guys :)

I recently bought myself a 79090 Tudor submariner and I am really happy about it!

The thing is, I am trying to determine, whether the case previously has been polished or not. I can still see the chamfers in some angles, but I am unsure wether they have been touched.

This is why I try to reach out for your insight I would be very happy if somebody a bit more knowledgeable than me, would take a look at the watch:

I tried catching the case in as many angles as possible.

Thank you in advance!!

Hi and congratulations on a great pick up. Looks to have a slight polish to me ,but nothing to worry about & plenty of meat left on the lugs for many years to come . I have attached a picture of my 1989 79090 for some comparison which has had a brush over at some point, it doesn't really show the chamfers clearly though .

Have you ever seen a NOS watch from this era? They don't look like yours. The difference is obvious.

Yours looks very nice, and I have no doubt that it would get peddled on the forums as "unpolished" by at least a few of the forum fast talkers.

My initial thought was that it had undergone a polish, but I haven't been able to find an unpolished/NOS one from the 90'ies. A lot of dealers seems to refer as unpolished, when it looks circa like mine

I see, that is sharp.

I can see resemblances on mine, but still, not as that.

Should I worry? I see a lot of these examples where you can't even see the chamfers. Where would you categorize this? A slight-polish, or is it very obvious?

I think it's a great watch. You need to form your own opinion.
