I was thinking the same thing about the champagne dial on SS. It sure looks good. Did it come that way from the factory?

It's two-tone.

I brought my D-Blue along to the AD for a strap change to the Rubber B but then I saw the Roger Federer watch on display in the glass cabinet(Is it suppose to be the smooth or fluted bezel?...still such a captivating watch). The AD offered the DJII for USD 9K but I gave a big sigh of despair and told him I couldn't afford it.All was not lost. When I requested for a free extra plastic bezel protector and a M size Rolex green box in exchange for my S size box, he willingly obliged!

Such a nice watch. I saw a DJ41 at Rolex in NYC last weekend in a similar configuration. Loved it. Slate looks incredible under the right lighting and the green outline on the numerals... fantastic.

May have to pick one up after I finish paying off my SS DJ41 rhodium. Would make for a nice pair, I think!

Hi great watches everyone! I'm interested in buying the datejust in the future but I'm wondering, is the fluted bezel scratch resistant? I know ceramic bezel is scratch resistant but what about the fluted bezel?

In thew newer model the fluted bezel is made from gold and since gold is softer than SS, how badly can you damage the bezel?

I also noticed that on some of the older models that the fluted bezel is less "sharp" (sorry if I'm using the wrong term here) than the new models. Is this because of heavy use or just because thats how they were made back then?

Thank you and sorry for the long questions
