Explorer 1 and Air king UK

As it seems ss models are fairly hard to come by, I thought I'd have a little drive about today to a couple of AD's one I've not been too, and the other a bit further away from my normal one to see what they had in stock, have a chat, try to get to the bottom of rumours etc.
Neither had any subs in, but said that the no date shouldn't be that long a wait, 2 months or there about, might even be less.
Both had the explorer 1 and air king in, had to try them on, as had thought about adding the explorer at some point but it did seem to wear small, although that just be that i had been wearing the BB Bronze.
The air king felt more substantial, but the dial looked a bit cluttered to me? Both very nice watches, liked the matt dial on the explorer.
Both had explorer ii polar, milguass, date justs etc
Asked about price increase, one said, they hadn't heard of one, and can't see it,
They get sent a list each month from rolex, with what pieces they can pick from, and they are there the following month, If i was to order say a black dial stick fluted bezel ss, jubilee DJ41 that they haven't got in stock it could be with them in a week or so, obviously depending on rolex stock.
Anyway after a nice cup of coffee, was given the Rolex Magazine No6 submariner,

I'm in Suffolk too, just depending which side of Ipswich you are I will just say you missed a nice tt submariner nearby.
Also a yachtmaster, a basel 2017 style yachtmaster 2 which looks nice in person.
Yes seen the milgaus, haven't seen an explorer or air king though so you beat me there.
I am waiting for a new explorer as we speak.
Cannot see price increases myself, but I may be wrong.
I'm not convinced the short supply is as tight as they say, especially round here anyway.

Picked up an Air King this week, from enquiry to wrist - 10 days, not too bad. When I first enquired, they had an explorer 1, explorer 2 in white and black, a milgauss, and loads of gold stuff I couldn't afford and didn't want. I'm a happy bunny AK is just superb,!
