Truthfully I see both sides of the argument. But the reality is this: you don't seem particularly interested in it anymore. If you don't think you're going to wear it, and you have other things you'd rather do with the money, I don't think selling it is a bad idea. Our watches and collections are wonderful things, but I think at some point it goes to waste if they're not being used for their primary purpose: to be worn.

Don't feel bad, you're not alone. If I, when I finally get to try one on, totally love the SD43 my plan is to sell or trade my 16710 for it. I love the watch, but it looks a little small on my wrist and like you I'm not a huge fan of the bracelet. I'm not a collector so I really only want one sport model and the SD could be it. So I totally understand where you are coming from and I also have no need for safe queens. If it doesn't see wrist time, sell it and don't look back

If the money was just going to sit in your checking account, I'd say keep it, but since you mentioned funding your kid's 529, I vote for selling it. If you get the itch a few years down the line, you can always buy another.

I'd sell it.

Sell it and buy what you like! Don't look back.
