Explorer II

Looking to buy used from someone, I am concerned because I can't find any marking on the rehault (silver ring), anything special about this 2007 model year as far as markings etc... ?

Thanks

Could be an early 2007 model, how about posting pics of the watch? Have you checked the sellers references??? That would be my first step.

Well, he works next door, he said he bough it form a known jewelers and have all the papers and the box. The serial number on the paper matches the serial number on the watch. I'm no expert and just want to be on the safe side.

Its very normal to be bought new from AD in 2007 or 2008 & is early 2007 model without engraved rehault.

How well do you know him? If you have all the paperwork, including the sales receipt, I would go to the store & confirm that all is legit.

Explorers tend to sit in the case for a while. My CFO just bought one with no RBR. I think it's a D- or F-serial, but he bought it 3 months ago. I wouldn't be too worried about it.

Mine is a Z without the engraved rehaut. Brand new out of an AD. So it was on the shelf a while. No worries. To honest i'm not bothered about the engraving. Looks a little messy if you ask me.

A 2007 model EXP II is not likely to have an engraved rehaut.. You will only find that on the most recent releases...

That's a great advice.
Most of my watches don't have RRR on rehaut unless it's M serial or late Z's. Expy II follows that rule but not GMT 16710 or SeaDweller

My ExpII was purchased in 9/07. It is a Z7xxxxxxx serial number so reaslonably late in the "z" series. No rehaut.
