I never understood that. Infrastructure has been neglected for decades to the point were there's incentives not to use electricity. Who hands out incentives for customers to not use their product?? It's bad enough with everyone using their AC. Power outages happen frequently. I think it's just a scheme to increase electricity tax under the guise of lost revenue from gas sales. The difference is everyone uses electricity so the tax base will increase substantially. I have a feeling I'm going to end up paying 30% on my electric bill on top of 30% for gas.
