Christopher Ward
Just purchased a Christopher Ward C9 5 day chronometer, this uses there in-house SH-21 movement with 120 hours power reserve and is cosc certified.
It has a museum grade crystal front and an exhibition back, all in all a lot of watch for the money. Sent from my SM-N910C using Tapatalk |

Clean dial. I like it. Looked at the trident many times. Hard to beat them in this price range.

That's a good looking watch, but what, precisely, is a "museum grade crystal?"

It is sapphire.
The 'museum grade' bit may be adding a pinch of marketing licence though, but as Mr Christopher Ward himself has explained it in the past: "The crystal is still sapphire and it still has the anti-reflective properties of all our other watches… the application being on the underside. However the glass is further treated giving a polarising effect thus reducing the amount of light reflected. It is the same principle as that used to cover famous paintings and photographs inside museums and exhibition halls." Kevin - congrats on acquiring a rather lovely watch, very classy. Enjoy |
