~ INCOMING ~ Rescue Doggie Added to Our Family!
We lost two beloved doggies to Cancer in the recent past. My Wife and I had broken hearts but realized we like life better with a four legged friend around the house.
Thursday night we had a meet up and rescued a little rat/smooth fox terrier mix. She was dropped off at a woman's home in Tijuana Mexico and told if she can't take her and her brother the owner was going to put them on the street to survive. Just incredible that someone would do this. She is approximately 1.5 years old, is 17 lbs and we named her Callie. We are learning a lot about her and she is learning a lot about us and her new home. Super cute! Congrats on the new addition...
...that said, I have a wire fox terrier and all I can say is I hope you have a good pair of running shoes. They have soooooo much energy. I had never come across a puppy that didn't nap. My little guy has a bad case of "fear of missing out syndrome" and is constantly ramped up and ready for action. If there isn't action, he will make some. We have to work him all the time, plus he goes to dog daycare every day (his nickname there is Timeout Ted). Before I realized that exercise was a godsend, I thought he was the worst dog in the world. |
