I really really admire that watch. It's a shame it's unavailable in the States.

I had my reservations about the fabric strap, but it is gorgeous. The blue/bronze Combo is just stunning.

So bucherer bought out an AD in the UK just this month, so i was lucky enough to have my name on that AD's list and when they became available, i got the call :-)

MRSP for this in UK is 2860GBP. Kudos to them for keeping the price the same as the first 2016 blackbay bronze edition with choc dial

You are correct. I e-mailed them yesterday after posting and had a reply this morning confirming in-store sales only. Bummer.

waiting time and price

I checked on my waiting time. I put myself on the list on July 6th (actually, I only said I'd like t go see it, once they have a model available - apparently that's the same as "yes, you're next" ) and got the call on September 21st, so a good 3.5 month wait. Bearable, I'd say.

Official price in CHF is 3'800.-. When I compare that to chuey38's 2860.- GBP at today's exchange rate, that's CHF 3'669.-, so it looks like he got a slightly better deal (assuming sales tax is included).

The watch is definitely worth the wait and the price. I am loving how dressy it looks (I guess the "royal" colors of blue and "gold" have that effect) and also the 70 hour power reserve. When I take it off on Friday evening (I usually wear another watch on the Weekend), I don't have to set the time or wind it on Monday morning.

Its a collect only in store piece. I know of someone who managed to get one paid for it and arranged posting only to be told that he had to go to the London store to collect it.

A "regular" bronze is $3975 so I feel a "special edition" Bucherer for the same price is a very reasonable deal.

Congrats. I enquired about this with a few Bucherer stores last week. Where is the London store?
