It’s worth whatever those gen parts would go for on the open market. But as a complete watch like it is, not worth the 10k.

The first word that comes to my mind is: insane. Then a few others, but I will not disclose them here.

I’ve always been open to building a “Rolex”. I think it would be fun to collect parts over the course of a year or something and then build the watch.

Very interesting watch to say the least. For that kind of money you can buy something else that’s not pieces together.

unfortunately it is not worth the asking price - even if you consider the watch in parts

a genuine 1680 can go for less than $10000

since this is a franken watch that is built from parts, the case's serial number may not necessarily correspond with the movement's serial number and therefore RSC may not touch the watch even if the potential buyer restores the watch to its former glory. Not to mention, the case restoration process (to remove the gold plating) may reshape the case in a bad way

Even if the parts are gen.. I’d say a rolex is more than just the sum of its parts, so no.
