Datejust with Day

Is it possible that Rolex may ever release a Datejust with Day and Date?

Available in steel or TT only, as an interim reference to sit between the current Datejust and Day Date President models?

A kind of Rolex 'Vice President' if you will.

This is a watch I'd be really interested to see and I imagine they would sell really well without impacting sales to either of the other two models.

What are your thoughts and is this a model you would like to see Rolex introduce?

Day-Date is the icon. It is hard to see that Rolex would hurt that icon in any way. Making steel version and putting Day complication to other model would hurt.

Rolex is also about longevity, trust and predictability, that is why people buy them.

It's precisely your review of the Tudor Adam that got me pondering the question of Rolex offering a Datejust like this is the first place.

As of now, I am looking for a nice Tudor just like yours until Rolex decide to make what I'd like.......but that might be like waiting for a bus that's never going to arrive!

Thanks for the link Flávio and I had already seen this watch on Chrono24, but there is paint flaking off the dial.
Anyone know if this watch could have the dial replaced if sent in to RSC for service?

Adam got me turned onto this watch, too, and I could care less if Rolex makes one, at this point. It's that good. In fact, I'd potentially argue that the flatter caseback of the Tudor version would make me keep it over a Rolex version, anyways.

It's like taking a time machine back 40+ years to the Rolex factory, them asking you what you'd like to design, and you saying, "Why don't you give me a 36mm Oyster case with lugholes, the dial and crystal of the Oysterquartz...now, go ahead and give it a day function, too. Perfect."

I guess an elongated cigar-shaped cyclops would aesthetically be really appealling to some people , yes ?

To answer your question, I don't see this happening any time soon. Adam is correct, Tudor has got that niche in the market sewn up.

And Megan, know what you mean. My orange monster has a day and date.

Wait, how is that opposite? That's essentially what the OP is asking for. Either way, no need. The Tudor Date+Day fits the bill nicely.

Datejust with Day is exactly a Day-Date. so your question should be, Will Rolex make a steel or two tone Day-Date.
I don't think so, but then again, they did come out with Steel/White Gold Sky-dweller.

I think if Rolex were to integrate the annual calendar feature of the Sky Dweller into the Day Date then it would open up the possibility for Rolex to do a stainless Day Date.
However, I’d rather see Tudor do it in either a black bay (36 or 41) or in the Tudor Style

Sorry, I missed this. I don't know the answer, but the serial number on my latest piece starts with the letter 'I', so fairly recent anyway, and not very old stock. Tudor still prints brochures for the Prince line, too.

Thanks. Mine is also I, and it was purchased in 2014. I saw one recently purchased new in August that was also I.

From what I can tell, the 76200 replaced the 94500 around 1995. Does that jive with what you've found?

It's unreal that they're still selling such a time capsule. It won't be long before the 76200 is both vintage and new at the same time. Thanks again for turning me on to them last year.
