One of my biggest regrets was not picking one up on vacation in New Zealand in 2002 or 2003 when I had a chance to buy at a 25% discount. The shop owner said he could not move these because there was a strong preference in NZ for the “All Blacks”.

My wife at the time was all over me NOT to buy so I passed. She is my ex-wife now.

I did not know that the Kermit contained white gold in it.

Question is what is going to happen with all the LV:s that donīt have LV stamped on the certificate or on the green hangtag sticker. How will you know itīs a true LV?

Except for the maxi dial and the larger minute hand, you mean?

You won't, but if someone wants to transform an 16610LN to an LV, they need to get a genuine LV insert, add a genuine maxi dial with print variations that matches the serial number on the watchcase in the reference library - and also a genuine larger minute hand.

Too much hassle and too expensive.

My Christmas present arrived early! Not a complete set but it was reasonably priced especially after trading in a watch I never wore!

I have a complete set of dial, hands and insert for an LV. Whoever gets their hands on the package can transform a LN to an LV. Seen more of these packages being sold so it can be an issue.

Here's mine on a glidelock bracelet.
Any hassle getting the Glidelock to fit the 16610 case?

Cheers

Only ever buy one with original paperwork - this is the only way to avoid getting scammed in this way.

These packages still come with a price tag - and besides; the dial layout variation MUST match the serial number of the watch case.

Apologies - what's the difference in a fat & flat 4 - I always thought they were different discription's of the same thing?
As I understood it there were only the first editions that had a flat 4 like in the pic below?
