Local AD Going Out Of Business

So my local AD is going out of business.. It is a local owner and they decided they wanted to retire. They are liquidating everything in store and everything is on sale per their sign.

Question:

1) Would you buy from an AD going out of business? Could it create any issues with warranty or anything else if I had an issue with watch?

2) With the owner deciding they want to get rid of everything as soon as possible, what kind of discount do you think I should ask for?

Yes I would. 1) warranty is through Rolex so no matter. 2) Any big discount on popular models is doubtful.

Discount depends on model , it can vary ...
SS models maybe 5 to 15 %
TT models 15 to 25 %
PM models 25 % plus up to 35 %...
It all depends on how fast they want to liquidate...
Warranty is from Rolex and it follows the watch not the AD...

If you are serious about making a purchase it sounds like a good opportunity. I would bring a check with you so you can pull the trigger right away if you see something you like. Good luck!

I remember going to an AD that was going out of business. At the time, I was only a freshman or sophomore in college so I wasn't in the market for a Rolex. However, the prices were crazy and I Should have figuring out a way to get one. All of the Rolexes were 50% off. I ended up buying a Tag that was 75% off.

ADs are technically not supposed to discount their Rolexes without permission... I'm assuming they don't care so its a very good buying opportunity... depending on model, I would push for 30% off MSRP minimum... 35% if you're there with cash in hand

Update: They will not ship or take credit cards over phone. They will only sell in house. He said even though they closed their account they still want to follow rules. They were closed today, so I will make trip tomorrow to view their inventory.

I was told that all watches belong to Rolex until sold? An AD in the UK was going out of business and I remember they brought a few watches themselves and activated the warranty card and then started to sell the watches at discount to clear them away
