Boss on new job noticed mine pretty much on our first 1:1 meeting. Asked about it. I have to admit it made me feel uncomfortable.
I've only had the watch for about a week. Not I try to be very discrete with it around my coworkers (which are young people, dont know/care about watches and think the brand means you're loaded).

It's a bit annoying as it cuts part of the enjoyment. I'm sure I'll get used to it and stop caring, but not there yet.

I'm retired. Some days I don't even wear pants, much less a watch.

I wear my Rolex everyday in the office, at home, in the gym...
Only if I ride my motorcycle i take it off due to the tight leather suit and I am not sure if the high frequency vibrations of the bike will harm the mechanics of the Rolex. Maybe I´m a little bit over cautious.

Yup, wear my GMT everywhere everyday. I have a colleague at work who wears a 16600, so I'm not alone.

I wear my Milgauss in rotation with Grand Seiko, Omega, Sinn and Dornbluth & Sohn. I'm sure nobody recognizes the others and thinks the Rolex is a quartz promotional watch for a comic book character.

I never understood the fuss over a $5-7000 watch when that's basically 4 times the price difference between an F150 XLT and an F150 Platinum. To most of the office, they are both just Ford pickups.

Maybe now is your chance to usher in the new style of no pants+Rolex!

Yes. I wear it probably 19/20 working days per month. Sometimes I get the itch for my fc but not very often. My boss doesn’t wear a watch and the only time I’ve had feedback was about suits being “too businessy” and to dress down a bit more. But the watch has been no problemo.

Wear my Rolex 95% of the time... both for work and for play. I wear it because I enjoy wearing it. No other reason and for no one else.

I wore whatever watch I wanted when I was working. I do the same now that I am retired. My boss wore no watch, deferring to his stinking cell phone. He DID notice my PAM 305 of the blue sharkskin strap but that was the only time he said anything about my watch.

Yes everyday, salesman for a large shipping company.

My boss has the new Daytona yellow gold oysterflex while I rock the trusty 114060.

Because the truck is out in the parking lot. The watch is essentially jewelry and in their sight all the time. It is a lot more noticeable.

True, but I bet 50% of the office could point out my car in the lot and 2% know if I even wear a watch.

Rolex at work

Yes, if I'm not wearing my Rolex it's a Tudor. I own my business but do not flaunt but nobody cares although they know I'm a watch freak and half don't wear a watch
One person does wear a Tag Chrono 500 but he's more into new I phones and clothes.

I was making a general statement, not about you personally. No one where I used to work could point out anyone's car but if someone showed up wearing several thousand dollars worth of jewelry, they'd sure notice that.

Rolexes get noticed not only because of what they cost but how visible they are - at the end of one's arm, not off in a parking lot. Rolex has spent a lot of money marketing the idea that their watches are exclusive, a sign of entry to a club populated by people with money. Very few other brands carry that cachet. People notice and often are put off by that. Others are attracted. Envy/aspiration - two sides of the same coin.

No. Especially nearing Christmas, where people increasingly feel anyone with ££££s strapped to them are peeing in their faces..

That's what I bought my sub for, and it does a fantastic job being a desk diver.

Everyday, without exception. I don't leave my house without a watch on my wrist. Even if I'm just walking the dog.

When I wear mine I usually try to wear long sleeves so I can cover it up if I notice someone distracted in a meeting or something. I'm a software engineer and I've worn with a t-shirt and felt odd at times. No one has said not to, and I do try to wear as much as I want.
