So it finally happened!

So I'm sure some of you have seem some posts or questions from me over the past few months or weeks about wanting the full on Rolex experience... going to NYC buying from a big AD and all.
Well after making a few calls and checking stock around the city and getting feed back from some of you, I said screw it and made some calls to smaller local dealers and today at lunch I found a sub!
So I skipped out of work a bit early and headed over and I am now a proud sub owner
I have wanted a sub since I was 15 and now I can finally say I own one.

I do have one question though, by the time I got home I realized I did not get the green warranty paper, I do have the card... do they still come with the paper that you sign or is that a older thing that doesn't get used any longer?

Congrats on a beautiful watch! As others have said the card is all you get these days. They did away with the paper many many years ago. Early 2000's

Warranty question: Many gray-market dealers offer watches with dated cards but no name. Does this mean it can be filled in whenever you need it?

No need to fill in the name. Most buyers don’t bother writing the name on the warranty card anymore because it would be easier to sell in the gray market. As long as the warranty card was activated by an AD and properly dated, that’s all you need.

Congratulations Mike, my Submariner as well as our wedding rings were bought from Murphy’s! Patrick Murphy actually did the engraving on them himself, great family stores.
Did you get yours at the Saucon store?

Yes, it's nice to have your own name on the card. Rolex does not keep track of ownership so it does not affect your rights
