older GMT 750 jubilee
hi folks,
as some of you know, i had an new GMT II C 750 but it never give me a really warm feeling. I work a lot offshore in the middle east, so it was always a little bit unconfortible to wear the watch in the heat and humidity there. Now i think i found the "ultimate" one for me, because the bracelet seems to have more confort, especially in the harsh weather condidions i have to work. So her "she" is ;-)

Nice Jorg, I have never seen that combination before. Gold GMT on a Jubilee.
Wear in good health.

Nice pick up, Congrats! Based on the "Swiss" marking on the dial, it had a service by Rolex around 1998-2000. Enjoy the GMT!

Scott,
i didnt mean that you say that, i need only more (all) informations about this configuration of GMT (one) with the jubilee bracelet. For me it seems still rare. So if anyone has some input.... PLEASE

What a beautiful example! Big congrats. If I may. I think what Scott is refering to is the fact that Rolex watches from the mid-80s used tritium as an illuminating compound. Normally these dials were marked "SWISS T<25", T SWISS T", etc... indicating a tritium based dial. Circa 1997-1998 Rolex (as did other brands) switched to luminova as an illuminating compound due to some health concerns to workers. These dials (usually if original) form the 1998-to 2000 time period or so carried the "SWISS" legend at 6 o'clock. Today service replacement dials also carry "SWISS" at 6 o'clock most of the time. A simple way to check is shine a light on the dial for a bit and see if it glows. If so it's probably superluminova. Trit. dials may glow very briefly as the phosphors in the paint matrix "excite" but it will quickly fade. |

Very nice GMT congrats But I wouldn't use it to work off-shore. Your newer GMT-C is more rugged then the older Jubilee model, remember that those links are hollow on the outside and prone to not only streching but also denting very easily. Rolex in the old days made the bracelets like that so they would wear less heavy on the wrist, as opposed to todays "the heavier the better trend".
PS: Make sure its been waterproof tested. |

That is absolutely stunning - I am in love with that watch. GMT's always look great on Jubilees - and in the gold, simply gorgeous.

You are going to wear that in the middle east, offshore, in the heat and humidity.
YOU ARE THE MAN.

Great looking watch and I totally agree the Jubilee does have a more gentle feel on the wrist. I find it very comfortable indeed
You got a fantastic GMT, that is for sure

I am soooo HAPPY
I was in Munich an there where 1000000000 watches i like to have.... I drove home with.... "The" GMT , 750, Jubilee AND 16758 with serial 65 16X XX A real VINTAGE one.( I think) Think it must be BORN in 1985 , now just 23 years old and in an excellent condition. Of course complete overhauled in 2001 (thats why the newer dial is on) and it FEELS FANTASTIC ! The Jubilee is just like a part of my body, perfect feeling. Sorry Folks, still can not make good pics, so i will ask someone of my friends and i promise an update with some pics later on. Now i am a bit tired , we drove around Hamburg to Munich, Munich to Regensburg(one Night there), Regensburg to Köln (Cologne, one night there) and finally today home, back to Hamburg. (2000KM)
