Anyone else staying in tonight?

I am sick, and F*^$cking tired of being sick and tired. Tonight I have to miss a New Year’s tradition with my friends of ringing in the new year at the local casino.

Make me feel better, anyone else not going out to celebrate tonight?

We are getting an early dinner.

We will likely be in bed, watching tv, by 9:00. Asleep by 10:00.

Feel better soon. Water and sleep.

I am sick as a dog. The wife was sick for a week, now me. There was an article in the SF Chronicle about how this year's flu shot did not work on H3N2 strain.

SO yeah, chicken soup for me tonight.

When it's 15 below and with New Year's Eve often being "rookie night" out at the restaurants and while driving, happy to stay home and have a lobster dinner tonight. My celebration was last night with the Wisconsin Badgers winning in the Orange Bowl.

Does that make you feel better, Paul?

I haven't had shit's worth of sleep in the past 3 days, I guess around 4am I lost it on my girlfriend and told her off for texting all night when I was extremely tired and felt like crap. she gave me a few hours of rest before I had to move my car before she went to work. we had a family breakfast this morning that I opted out of because I was tired and didn't feel well, figured i'd see my family at dinner around 3, my girlfriend was supposed to get off at 8, they changed it to 2. 2 oclock rolls around, no GF, 3 oclock rolls around, I ask her wtf is up. Apparently one of the Doctors is running slower than a snail today and she doesn't know when she's getting out. So i've missed the final 2 family meals of the year and have been in bed all day so far, Still sick, and no special plans for tonight. you're not alone Paul. Here's to a better 2018 lol

Paul. I stayed in. Had been invited to go out with a couple of coworkers to a a buddy of mine's bar. Belly dancers, 500 Yen Heineken and 200 Yen shots.

In the end I stayed in and watched Netflix. The beauty of it was the temple near my house gently rang this beautiful sounding gong for 1 hour starting at midnight. I'd never heard it before. Amazing.

I'm glad I stayed in. I'm too old and too much cop mileage to be out in a drunken crowd. Can't handle it anymore.

Best in 2018 to you Paul and all of you here.

In!
Will take my best wishes jar of "black eyes" to neighbor before sunset, then hopefully catch a movie that I don't fall asleep before the end.
I have grand hopes for a better and more fulfilling New Year!
Thank you everybody at TRF who has befriended me and included me in your circles.
Blessings,
HAPPY NEW YEAR 2018!

We're staying in tonight too ;.)

Can't be bothered with the hype/ pressure to do something

Just finished dinner & sitting in front of fire with a very large bowmore malt. Wake up fresh & head to beach for a long walk. New Years dinner at my mums later after our walk.

Had dinner at 7:30 pm,wife and I are both recovering from a light flu and our 2 years old just want to play jumping on my stomach laughing his ass off. I wouldn’t go out even at gun point.

I’m sort of disappointed i’ve skipped my traditional last bike ride of the year tho..

Don't be dismayed Paul. New Year's Eve and St. Patrick's Day are 'amateur hours'.

With 363 remaining days/evenings left on the calendar, there will be plenty of opportunities to hang-out and imbibe with your key associates.

is 500yen for a Heineken a good deal? that's right around $5.50 right? was my favorite beer, always seemed to be fairly cheap no matter where I got it in the world though, anything over $5 seems to be outrageous here in the states. most IPAs aren't much more than that.

We're staying in. Both of our kids (ages 7 and 5) are sick. It's incredibly cold in the NYC area, too. I can't imagine standing in Times Square in this weather, although several hundred thousand or a million people will do it. Have a great night in, everyone!

Not me! Time to party like a rock star. A 70 year old, Crown Vic driving rock star. As for being sick, take EmergenC. That stuff really works. As soon as you start to feel a little bad, take two a day.
