In search of a BLNR

Hi Everyone,

Been browsing the forum, drooling at all the BLNR's out there. I'm normally on the Omega Forums, and the BLNR is on the list for being my first Rolex. Just that every time I have funds saved up, there is a new Speedmaster released, so I never had the funds to pick up a BLNR.

As luck would have it, my boss (and watch collector) would like to thank me for the excellent work I've contributed to the company. He knows I'm an avid Omega collector and fan, and offered to gift me an Omega watch for Christmas. Asked for a couple of watches I was interested in. I provided him two watches. An Omega, which I've had my eye on, and a BLNR. I put the BLNR second, and noted as "If you would like to gift me my first Rolex".

Maybe that works, and I've been quested to find one in stock.

So, if anyone has an AD in the US (not in California) that has a BLNR in stock and willing to ship, I would greatly appreciate any leads.

Looking forward to joining the Rolex and BLNR Family.

I would suggest to contact a couple of trusted sellers in the forum. For sure they'll be able to help you. That's what I did when I was looking for BLNR.

Always see some from trusted sellers on here ranging from $8900-$9900+ currently.

Thanks for the replies. Even though he is generous with his offering, he's looking to pay with a Credit card, and not more than MSRP. Having me look out of state to save on taxes as well.

What a way to start off the new year!

Mine says hello and hope you join the Rolex / BLNR club.

PS. I’m also an omega fan, especially the Speedy, but also have a few Seamasters in the mix.

Wow, congrats on your excellent work performance (I assume).

Good luck in your search for the BLNR. Its harder to come by nowadays (despite the 50 millions photos you see here on TRF)

What a boss! You must have had an amazing year!
I just talked to my AD last week and my understanding is Rolex isn’t sending Any watches for the next couple of weeks

I think dealers will have stock by the end of the month, that’s my prediction. In general though most dealers require a face to face sale, or prior purchases from the customer. I could be wrong but I’ve never known of a US dealer who would sell one over the phone to a random customer in another state. Pretty sure that violates their RolexUSA dealer agreement.

Did you know that the distance in miles between Los Angeles and Kuala Lumpur is equivalent and corresponds to the average retail price of a BLNR in US dollars ? Bet you didn't know that
You came from the OF?Get Out on LA! Really? Then send my best wishes and regards to Bruno @Riviera Paradise. He actually has BLNR in his collection as he travels a lot around the globe but always staying in one corner ->Rio de Janeiro. Don't worry, you'll get your BLNR pretty soon, for now just enjoy the thrill of the hunt! Here's a photo I actually snapped a few hours ago at my AD in KL

You guys aren't helping with the pictures. Make me a little impatient.

Can't wait to add this watch to the collection.

They're plenty from trusted sellers here on the forum selling BLNR's now from $9000 on up for NIB. When the AD's get resupplied, it will most certainly come with a Price increase of at least 8% (as with most sport models) that will make it over $9,500 MSRP (I predict higher for no other reason than thats just what I think). With a modest tax it will be over $10,000 so these trusted seller prices really arent that out of line. 99 44/100% of all looking for one now wont find a NIB at the current $8950.00 MSRP. Just wont happen. $9500 is going to be a deal on these in about 2mos.

Even if your speculation is right I think 8% is excessive. The DJ41 price increase was barely over 2%. Time will tell.

So recently the BLNR has caught my eye, Are they still 'rare'? Do some AD's have them in stock or are they like the new Daytona that has a massive wait list?

Im waiting on a couple lists, Ive been told a couple months? The same ADs laughed at me when I asked to be on the Daytona so I think they are expected in stock in the near future from what I can tell. It will be my first so Im anxious

Yes, dealers are slowly getting them in. My dealer got one. unfortunately, he requires 1st time transaction to be face to face.
I have heard a couple of Vegas dealers are willing to ship. Maybe you can call around.

AD’s do have a supply but don’t expect a phone call or first time in store to get you there.....persevere, visit a few times, let them know where your heart is and your not a re-sale / flip addict.
