Air King and Milgauss. I'd go with an Omega over those 2, and the Pearl Master is too over the top for me.

I see Explorer and YM on here a lot. I really dig the Explorer I and YM 40 MM...

Also, I'm surprised to see Celinni on here a lot. I really dig some of those. Of course, my favorites are: Subs, GMTs, Daytonas (new ceramic one) and DJs.

Now, if we're talking about colors, bezels, etc., that's a completely different topic altogether, because there are a lot of color, bezel, bracelet, material combinations I'd never consider...

Milgauss, GMT and Explorer aren't to my taste.

Anything covered in diamonds, and likely to distract aircraft overhead. I know some like them, but when they’re blinded out, they’re way too ostentatious for me. I can think of easier ways to get mugged!

As we age our tastes and possibly appreciation changes, watches with date dials and also Cyclops eyes don't do it for me, I prefer a classic simple look / style, classy but practical.

Opinion could change, but I don't think that I can ever see myself buying or wearing an LV. For as beautiful as it might look in pictures with the radiant dial, there is just something about wearing a green anything. That is one of those that I love the way it looks on someone else's wrist. Every time I see it, it actually brings back memories of those Chameleon color Cougars that Mercury used to offer in the early 90s. That is one of those that I fear that the feeling of wanting would be a lot more stronger than the feeling of having.

Since I was a kid I hated fads and I would shy away from them. You will never see me with an LV

From all the Rolex models I would never buy:
1. Day Date.
2. Pepsi and Coke.
3. Anything with fluted basel (except maybe Sky-D blue).
4. Anything with jubilee bracelet.

1. Submariner, and its ilk/progeny (excludes YM)
2. Cartoonish Exp II, either flavor
3. Slab-sided-GMTs

My personal criteria for a "hard pass" wrt Rolex follow. I am simply not interested in any of the following:

Any non-steel sports Rolex.
Any sports Rolex without drilled lugs.
Any sports Rolex with the current "thicker" lugs and case.
Any Rolex made with yellow gold or two-tone.
Any Rolex with a fluted bezel.
Any non-vintage Daytona.

Strict I know, but they have served me well.

Yachtmaster II, Skydweller, or the new SD. All of them too large imo

I wouldn’t buy the vast majority TBH. But the biggest (pun intended) dealbreakers would be the DJ41, SD43, the DSSD, the current Exp II with 42mm case, etc. 40mm is my absolute max, these would all be FAR too big for my wrist.

Never say never but at the moment most of the modern Rolex watches don’t appeal to me.

So I would say I wouldn’t buy anything that isn’t a
-36mm blue datejust with smooth bezel
-36/34mm oyster perpetuals
- Explorer or explorer2 if I could get past the size

I want to like the modern sports watches or more accurately I want Rolex to remake watches I want .

I actually find MOST Rolexes really ugly. Hard NEVER on anything two-tone, fluted bezel, gold, or jubilee. Also, I can’t understand the fuss over the modern GMTs. Same goes for the new Seadweller. All those Daytonas and Skydwellers that come on the leather straps are a mystery to me as well. So yeah there are like 5 models that I think look amazing and the others are for other people.

I can understand folks who don't like the 41mm to 44 mm references because they are too large just as I don't favor the 40mm and smaller because on me they are too small.I also don't care for a watch with a cyclops although one of my favorites has it.In addition any Daytona, Hulk, Batman, Pepsi or Coke is out for me because I don't want to wear what everyone else is! I also don't like solid yellow gold or solid rose gold watches as they are too in your face.
Favorites-YM11 in SS with blue hands, YM1 Blue Dial (looks small on me but I love that watch),TT SkyD White Dial, James Cameron Deep Sea, and the Submariner.

Many of my friends wear Rolex and when we get together they all have on the same thing as listed in my "out for me" above. Are my friends laughing behind my back? Maybe, but I'm pleased and that's what matters.
