Any Slayer fans here?

Just wondering how many of yall are Slayer fans?

The tour is pretty good this year.

Here are some pics I took at the Dallas show.

I was a big fan between the ages of about 10-15yrs old. I used to be a huge rocker as a kid. I went to my first concert, without adult supervision, when I was 10 years old. A friend and I (both 10) went to see Iron Maiden in Dublin. Amazing gig. I'll always remember the crowds reaction to us as we walked around headbanging with our denim jackets with band patches all over them. I still have mine today and can't even fit my arm in the sleeve haha

Not a massive fan (prefer progressive Scandinavian Death Metal) but Reign in Blood is still be definitive thrash metal album of all time.

I've seen them live a few years ago when I went to one of the Heavy MTL festival days. I cannot say I'm a big fan but they have some good songs and they perform very well on stage.

Their stage decoration consisted of a wall (and I mean it...a wall!) of amplifiers. Needless to say it was loud.

Huge fan here. IMHO Slayer and Metallica represented to their segment in the eighties what Beatles and Stones were in the sixties and Zeppelin and Deep Purple during the seventies. Here I kindly ask to read again what I'm saying. By no means I'm comparing Slayer and Beatles, please. What I'm saying is that both Slayer and Metallica were leaders in their segment (named power and trash metal at the time) and brought innovative sounds that many other bands lived on copying. Again in my humble opinion Show No Mercy, Haunting the Chapel, Reign in Blood and Hell Awaits are classic albums. Dave Lombardo's new project PHILM is very nice and I was not surprised he could impress me again even nowadays.

ANyone going to see them on the last tour?

I will be at the Houston show and Dallas show. When they announce the last US dates I plan tot go to the last show.

Its sad that they are ending things but they deserve to retire. they have sacrificed a lot for a long time (~35 years)

Any Slayer fans here?

I've been a Thrash fan since about 1990. Seen Slayer live a few times, most notably "The Clash Of The Titans" tour, Wembley Arena London , 4 Oct 1990 featuring Slayer, Megadeth, Suicidal Tendancies and Testament. Hands down the best gig ever.

I've seen Metallica, Marilyn Manson, Iron Maiden, Anthrax, if they were Thrash in the 90's /00's, I probably saw them.

Big fan since the 80's. Went to the Show No Mercy tour in 83 and saw them several other times. Still listen to a lot of metal, especially at the gym. Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Metallica, Slayer and the likes are my favorite workout tunes.

Cool pics thanks for the post.
