Low profile SS...options?

Question for TRFers: BlackBay is a fantastic low profile SS watch that does not break your bank...would you say the same about OP39 or EXP 1 ? Sometimes I need a watch that does not scream Rolex, which is usually identified by cyclops.

(I know, this happens when I take a nap, wake up and have no food or drink close by)

I think the exp1 would fit the bill. As far as the BLNR, non wis (for example, my wife) seem to think it looks like a sub....

I would agree, Gerardo. And probably give the edge to the Explorer...the sun ray dials of the OP can be pretty eye catching.

I totally agree! The reason I bought mine. No bling to worry about. The rhodium OP39 is a nice alternative if you want a slightly more dressy look. Good luck. Cheers!

I've had multiple people compliment my GMT by saying "I like your Submariner". Explorer is a great choice.

I have pm Daytona, yacht master, turn o graph , and Dj 41, but recently purchased blnr. That has become one of my favorite watches for daily wear.

The Explorer 1 fits perfectly as an under the radar but still cool watch to wear.

I've had my mk2 Exp1 for about a month. Can hardly stand to take it off. Actually replaced my Daytona 500 as daily wear. Light, thin, extremely comfortable. The dial even though matte is beautiful, the hands and markers sometimes take on the appearance of slight yellowish gold at different angles in the sun. Hard to explain, must be seen in person.
It is a great piece that doesn't attract attention.

TBH, IMO, us WISers are the only people that notice any SS watch and can identify it within micro seconds. IMO, any SS non Sub or DJ will fly under the radar. The new Exp I is a fantastic looking piece, but so is the new OP. With what I know about your collection, I’d pick the OP.

The explorer I is one of those watches that does everything. It’s perfect for a one watch collection. On the bracelet or on leather for more formal occasions it will always be understated and elegant. It also has the flip lock which the OP doesn’t.

Gerardo, I was recently having the same thoughts as well. I am still thinking an explorer is the way to go. We might both be ready for exploring soon.

Explorer is a great no hassle watch that always performs... Surprisingly the DaytonaC is under the radar to me... To me it doesn’t say Rolex like the SS bezel Daytonas do.

Exp I is under the radar. The OP 39 dials might be a bit more flashy but are also quite beautiful!

Exp I is the undercover king, and one of the most classic available.

Rumor floating around here on TRF that a white dial is coming at Basel World ???

Take away the cyclops and the diver or GMT bezel and that eliminates most non-WIS from recognizing a stainless Rolex. Agree that EXP 1 is a good bet to be highly incognito except to those in the know who would catch the hands and numbers. OP has attention getting dial colors.

Explorer 1 may be as good a choice as any, I have one for this reason as well but the oyster bracelet is as much Rolex as the cyclops and can be spotted from a fair distance.

Exp 1 new 39mm is very nearly a perfect timepiece. Classic and simple with great balance, function and legibility.

Same here. I also have an Exp II polar that nobody gives an airborne fart about. It seems to be my most off the radar Rolex of the bunch.
