Royal Oak 15400OR Authentic?

Hi All,

Is this 15400OR (Rose Gold) Royal Oak authentic? I took it to the AP boutique, and the guy didn't really look closely at the watch/movement closely, but he did enter the number on the case-back (which matches the warranty card) into the system and confirmed that there is five years of warranty left (with the last three years from the warranty card). But again, he didn't closely look at the watch/movement, so just wanted double-assurance from the knowledgeable board members.

Also, what papers does a new AP come with? I posted everything I received: movement booklet, warranty booklet, warranty card, and tag (not in photo).

Is this authentic? Let me know if another angle would help. Thanks!

Yes, it's a beauty, and nice weight should verify that as well.

Real for sure. You can’t really fake that movement. Dial is also hard to fake as well.

The papers being the new card system has not been replicated yet either.

yeah... plus if the warranty info was accepted into the registration system then its also a valid serial number. I would guess thats the hardest thing to fake.

Ok. Can someone also please confirm whether the paper and warranty card material pictured above is complete?

Thanks!

Looks 100% legit. Why are you questioning it's authenticity though? You don't trust the seller you purchased from?

Authentic. No replica currently manages to mimic the movement

Was initially hesitant only because I've never dealt with this dealer before and there weren't many references about the dealer on TRF.

Glad to hear that you all think it's authentic. Thanks all!

OP here. Maybe I'm just being paranoid here, but I just noticed that the engraving on the back of the case and the "Audemars Piguet" engraving under the rotor on the 15400or I have are a bit different compared to others, but then again, I've see versions similar to mine, as well.

Does AP have a practice of changing the placement and sizing of text and engravings throughout different series?

Below is an image from Govberg's review of the 15400or (youtube). Note the space before and after the text "Audemars Piguet" engraving under the rotor, and also note that the engraving on the back of the case ("AU 750" and the square "AP" logo, and the two weird shapes on the other side) is horizontal.

And here are additional photos of my 15400or. Note that there is no space before and after the text "Audemars Piguet" engraving under the rotor, and also note that the engraving on the back of the case ("AU 750" and the square "AP" logo, and the two weird shapes on the other side) is vertical.

And another front shot for good measure

Dude, relax. That looks legit.

That said, as I have read on numerous forums and practice it myself religiously: Buy the seller, not the watch.

The engraving is very disconcerting... I'm so tempted to say... but it is not, it looks fine, now lets see some wrist shots and no more talk!

I'm not going to try to fuel the addiction, but the Govberg example is an H series while yours is a J series. The 15400 has same minor refreshes over the course of the last few years. Anywhere from dial, to text, to clasp, etc.

Don't worry about it, your watch is fine. If you are truly that concerned send it to AP and have it authenticated for $1000+.

A fake watch won't take it that far.... (at this moment).

Thanks. I looked up more case back pictures and found a number of them having the same set up as the one I have. Relieving. Think I'm just paranoid because this was the largest purchase I made. Going to just relax and enjoy some wrist time

Handel wrote a baroque Chorus about the way I feel right now.
