SS Daytona 116520 Service, RSC question...
Sent watch to the NYC RSC and received the attached quote.
The watch is a SS Daytona 116520, have all papers, boxes, etc. It is all correct parts. On the Service Estimate, I notice a few things: 1. They call the dial a "116528". Is this a generic term or do they think the dial has been changed to a non 116520 dial? 2. I authorized them to replace the bezel, but they seem to call it a 16520 bezel. I find this weird. I will call them tomorrow, but has anyone seen this before on the work orders? |

I have seen something similar to that, but in older models, simply because RSC system doesn't have all the options (for a modern watch, I would not expect the same, but your experience suggests otherwise).
When I took in a 1675/3, their system did not have the correct option for the bezel (brown/gold aka root beer) so my work order specifies the bezel as "16750 blue/red." I noticed it on the spot and inquired about it, and they corrected it by hand Also the brown dial ref is specified as 1675-8 which I guess refers to the fact that the same dial was used in the full gold model. Anyway, it's nothing to worry about! |
