Subliminal message...not sure what to do?!?
I have been giving this one some though lately. The LV aka Hulk, love this watch, but, I have also been thinking about the SD43. I don’t have a black faced Rolex right now as I sold my DSSD last year.
So, the fact I love the submariner, I still keep thinking about the LV. The only hold up for me right now is that have two subs currently, the 116619 (smurf) and the 116618LN black face. Neither of which I want to sell. So, is it ridoncilous to get another sub or just get the SD43. Help. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Not ridiculous at all and as owner of multiple Subs love having the LV! The dial is mesmerizing and one of best Rolex makes IMHO.

You have two great subs. However I think you owe it to yourself to own three. Do yourself the favor and go get that LVc!

Nothing here sounds ridiculous to me. Being you have a blue face and a black but all gold piece I think either choice would be good company. If it were me I think I'd be leaning towards the hulk. A sea dweller is really a sub anyway, just on steroids.

You have two great subs already Nick ... but there is always room for another
Out of curiosity ... why did you move the DSSD? I submit these for your consideration Sent from my SM-G935W8 using Tapatalk |

This hobby is about the pieces that make you happy, even though we love to loose sleep trying to rationalize it.

Go for the SD43, it’d be a great addition to your already nice collection!

I’d get the sd43. Not really a fan of the hulk.

Between my SD43 and green sub, I’d lean towards my green sub. It’s a keeper for me.
(But if I put the hulk up against my SD4K, that’d be another story, tho I digress.) The best answer is both. |

I really love the LV. Prestigious Rolex color in an iconic watch. Can’t go wrong.

Can't go wrong with either of the LV or SD43. LV has the better dial, but the SD43 has the better overall proportions IMO. With 2 gold Subs, a LV is still different enough to add, but I would prefer to add an SD43.

Seems like your heart wants the green but your head wants the SD. I like the Hulk, it's a gorgeous watch. But hurry up, don't lose your chance at it because it's best appreciated in the sun & our summers are short. LOL
PS...glad the Hulk is too bulky or else I'd have a dilemma myself. LOL |

Both great watches. Prefer Subs over all others so the LV would be my choice and would fit in nicely with your other Subs.

I think it’s different from anything else. The color is not duplicated imo with anything else.

I've entertained the idea of the LV for my collection, but after seeing it in person, as lovely as it is, it confirmed that it wasn't for me.
The sd43 does it for me with the black coloring and the size. The red lettering is icing on the cake. |

Both are awesome watches. Personally I prefer the SD43 overall but I find the sub more comfortable to wear being smaller, thinner and lighter. Here’s a pic of them side by side

Both are great watches and I have owned the Hulk several times. I currently own the SD43 and believe it to be the ultimate Rolex Diver. The size is perfect for me and the case and bracelet are proportional. The bezel, red text on the dial and even the cyclops work for me. It is the watch I have been wishing Rolex made before it was made. The Hulk is great but it is a lot of green. When I had a large collection, 12-15 watches, it did not get the wrist time. When I scaled down, I went toward the ND Submariner in the collection. I think the Hulk and the BLNR are two of the most hyped watches on TRF and it does have an effect on what we like and buy. Buy the SD43 and I don't think you will be disappointed.

Thanks everyone for your inputs. It definetely still a tough one for me. As to why I sold the DSSD, basically, it was too thick, after owning it for about 4 years, then came along my two PM subs, it was really obvious the thickness and it started bothering me. So, I sold it. I am just concerned that the SD43 might still be to thick. On the other hand, is the hulk something I could wear as my daily beater, is it versatile enough? Still pondering. And, just to add, the diameter of the SD43 shouldn't be a problem, as I wear a Novelty AP which is 44mm. Hmmmmm. Stuck.

I think the Sub LV would look stunning with the watches you have. So many cool different colors on the same model! But ofcourse the SD43 is also a masterpiece. As they say, can not go wrong sir!
