I find myself in the same boat. Very interested in how I feel in 6 months.... scratch that I mean ten years. My 16600 has and still is wonderful after 13 years.

Thought this is an interesting pic.. was in a hotel lobby today and the roof of the lobby was painted red. So when I looked down, my watch got the red reflection..

It's the greatest bracelet Rolex has ever produced. I can't imagine ever removing it

I would give it a try (have a lot of 22mm rubber strap around from other divers), but need a very small fork for the spring bar removal tool as the bracelet on these Rolexes are very tiny! For my Tudor I was able to remove with regular size spring bar removal tool..
