Just had the opportunity to try on some of the new Baselworld releases tonight. All I can say is wow... Now the wait begins before I can buy

That TT GMT is smoking in pics! What did you think of it in the metal?

Funny all new models have the crown between Swiss and made except the WG blue dial GMT. What could be the reason?

The crown at 6 o'clock denotes the new movement. The WG BLRO didn't receive the 3285 and therefore doesn't have an additional crown on the dial. It also didn't get the longer hands like the other models.

Correct WG BLRO has the 3186 movement and the other new GMT Basel releases with the crown between SWISS MADE have the 3285 movement.

The more I look at the new dials the more I think the mini coronet looks terrible. The rehaut was already a fairly meh change for me to have coronet/Rolex engravings...but this is starting to get tasteless.

Interesting observation. My SD43 doesn’t have the crown at 6:00 but has a newer movement than older versions, with 70 hr power reserve. Off topic: MY SD43 is extremely accurate, gaining only 1 sec a month or so. My other Rolex’s are about 2-4 sec/day. Not sure why that is.

Wow! They all look so good. This could be a pricey year for me.
My AD’s event is still over a week out but I’m really looking forward to it. |

My latest GMT is currently running about +0.5sec over a month of observation. That's more in the regulation than the movement. Yes, the Chronergy escapement in the new movement helps but the old movements are perfectly capable of being accurate if regulated correctly. |

I’m so jealous of everyone getting to preview the watches. The next open preview that I know of in NJ is at short hills mall on June 7th
It’s like a month away |
