Daytona is an easy choice for me. The Gen 3 chronograph is too chunky IMO. I also think the Maltese cross motif is overdone. No doubt the Vacheron has the better finishing, but it's hard to beat the Daytona for its everyday wearability, robustness, reliability and looks.

Agree about the gen 3, the "Deep Stream" is the way to go IMO

let us not forget the VCO has water resistance to 15 ATM whereas the Daytona, 10 ATM.

For those of us who want an all-weather, all-conditions, chrono this is a little extra peace-of-mind.

Unfortunately my VCO acquisition has been subverted by a side-journey. I'm leaning towards the Gen 2 because the big date is something else.

If you're a chrono collector I think they complement each other so well that they both have a place in your box/drawer.

IMO its no practical difference. Certainly not enough for me to chose one watch over the other.
