SD43 Rubber Strap

Hi Everyone - Long time reader, first time poster. This is a wonderful forum with some great people. I had a quick question for the masses.

Has anyone placed a rubber strap on their SD43? If so, does anyone have any recommendations? It appears Everest and Rubberb have yet to release a strap that works with the wider lug length of the SD43. Ideally I would love to use a strap that is compatible with the delopment clasp.

Thank you.

Thanks for the reply. I’ve been monitoring their sites for almost a year now, and I haven’t seen anything.

The 904L bracelet is beautiful, I just happen to work in an industry where the watch can take a decent beating. A nice rubber strap would be nice!

Thank you.

Nice! Will be interesting to see what it looks like after it took them over a year to release the strap.

I'm looking forward to their strap since I got my SD43 last year. I hope they'll come up with something similar to the Deepsea's, what they call blocked integration where the strap is flush with the outer edge of the lugs.

Yes! When the strap isn't flush with the outer edge of the lugs it looks really off. Kinda like this...

When I spoke to Rubber B last month the person I spoke to said the SD43 strap would not be covering the end of the lugs like it does on the Deepsea.

Exactly why I couldn't get myself to put a rubber b on my subC and expII. Only the Deepsea and only rubber B, not Everest.

This is the response I received from RubberB when I reached out.

"Hello,

I am sorry but due to manufacturing delays in Switzerland, the Rubber B for the 43mm Seadweller should become available this summer 2018

We apologize again for the wait, but this strap is a more complicated one than most others. It is very unique and will be worth the wait for sure!

If you already are registered on our insiders list below you will be notified as soon as it becomes available for purchase.

Thank you for your patience and interest in Rubber B."

Rubber b

I got the same response about this strap being very unique....ok let’s see it! What could they do to it if we can eliminate flaring at the lugs like the dssd? More colored stripes...Not my cup of tea. Venting perhaps - that would make it comfortable. Have to wait and see.

How about using the rubber strap from a Pelagos? I got one included with mine, should also be the same width as the SD43 lugs.

The Pelagos strap requires use of endlinks from Pelagos to affix the strap.

Maybe they'll come up with an inner flexible metal sheet, Oysterflex style?

I wish they had an option that would include end links. I believe Everest has leather straps with end links. I think this would go a long way in improving the look of the 6 digit models on rubber. Until then my sub c will remain on its bracelet. The lugs are just to pronounced for my taste when on a strap.

That sounds exciting! I love the DSSD strap they make. Hopefully it also has flared lugs.

I’d seriously consider picking up one of these, that’d be awesome.

Just seen this from Rubber B

“For the first time (and hopefully the last time), a project has been taking this long to complete to perfection. The SD43 strap has actually been in production at the Swiss factory for over a year, and the first few submissions were refused, from what I've heard. Unfortunately, the delay has put the new release date for sometime near the mid or end of this Summer. We are all as anxious and impatient as you, and we apologize for the inconvenience”

I also received a similar response from RubberB today, quoting a mid summer “hopeful” release.

“I apologize we at customer service do not have an exact date but the latest update below ,
