Are the Sub Dates on Allocation
I was told that by an AD today and I hadn't heard this.

I think this is correct. Dealers are allocated only so many in a year - at least that's what an AD told me .

One of the two AD's I use has said this, and they are the one AD who never has one (until recently). My other 'normal' AD always had on, if not several.
Who knows the truth, though.

Rolex are in charge of who gets which watches. They're certainly not evenly distributed across the board, but I would've thought Subs would be fairly easy to get hold of Maybe your local AD just sells them quickly, they are one of the better selling sports Rolexes.
