Help choosing a watch

I posted a thread awhile back, speculating some milestones that we're coming up and what I'd want when they did. Well now that those milestones have hit, I'm ready to add to my collection! I've narrowed it down to two watches, so I'd love some opinions.

Milgauss Z-Blue: I love this watch. It's the watch that got me into the hobby in the first place and I haven't stopped loving it in the 5 years since. The colors, the second hand, everything is perfect....except the bezel. I already have a smooth bezel in my Explorer, and I sort of want something a little different. Last I checked 6 months ago, I could get a brand new one through a connection for $6500 or so.

Pepsi GMT (16700/16710): The Pepsi has been a favorite of mine for awhile. I've tried to get a 1675 to no avail, but the more modern iteration I think would fit me better. I get the "true" bezel I want, some color to the collection, and a complication I don't have. The main issue is finding a decent one at a reasonable price. I'd also have to factor in the potential for service as well, so that's another added cost.

Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated! I'm also open to other ideas, in case I haven't thought of something.

I voted milgauss, but not because I like it.

You clearly need to scratch that itch, even though it has the smooth bezel I think it is completely different than the Exp.

I see no reason to keep it at the top of your wishlist rather than getting it now.

I don't disagree, they're totally different pieces. I just don't want to regret not having a different bezel. The GMT is up there on my wishlist as well, just maybe a slot or two behind (with the Milgauss and Daytona taking those top two spots).

I'd put some effort into finding a Pepsi but if you can't find one you're comfortable with then get the Z-Blue. I think the Pepsi will add diversification given what you have which is the reason behind my advice. But the good news is you love the Z-Blue so if you can't find a Pepsi then you are not settling for your second choice.

That's kind of what I'm thinking, but the idea of getting a brand new Z-Blue is tempting. I'm going to track down a Pepsi today to try on (I've never worn one, but work near NYC's diamond district).

Milgauss Z-Blue for me.

The Milgauss Z-Blue is a more understated/underappreciated timepiece. GMT's and subs are a dime a dozen.

I would normally vote for the GMT but you said it in the first sentence, you love the Milgauss so in your case I’d grab that one.
