Rolex in Germany

Guten Tag!

I will do a business trip to Munich and think about checking our the AD in downtown and at MUC airport.

Does anyone know the price for a SS Skydweller (with AND without sales tax)?
I'm not sure if I can get the sales tax back if I buy it outside the airport.

Any help regarding the price is appreciated as Rolex shows the USD prices at Rolex.de

Fingers crossed to get a blue one ;-)

Prost!
Alex

On my last trip to Germany the stock situation was dire - I wouldn’t be holding out expectations of finding any SS sports model

shortage of SS is worldwide my friend. im sure all local ADs there have their lists and whales as well and arent going to be selling the hot items to just off the street new clients - unless youre buying various other non desireables then they may reveal it out to you from the mythical blue waters where these are kept...

I was in Germany recently...Frankfurt, Wiesbaden and Munich. Didn't see a single SS sports model or SkyDweller. Doesn't matter if you buy in the airport or outside, with the required paperwork you can claim your VAT refund at the airport. Good luck finding what you are looking for.

Well, first, the SS Skydweller MSRP is 13,050EUR.

but second, let me just be quite frank and let you know, you have a better chance at being struck by lightning than waltzing into an AD and buying a blue Skydweller. You do realize those are selling for $22k on eBay right now? and 17000EUR in Germany at Greys. This is one of the hardest watches in the world to buy right now....outside of maybe the DaytonaC, Patek 5711 and AP 15202st.

Not to mention, if you're not local, a lot of German ADs aren't going to offer you a SS piece if it's in the safe.

Not trying to bust your bubble, just don't want you to get your hopes up over this. Forget the SkyD and enjoy a beer instead.

Thanks, is the MSRP of 13,050EUR with or without sales tax?
And yes I can't wait to drink an Augustiner :) same goes for the weiswurst :)

@LL: Yes I know it's hard to find a SS Skydweller out
Well.... never give up!

Every Rolex price in Germany (and practically every other price, unless specifically listed and is only on rare occasions) will be inclusive of VAT. The current rate is 19%. However, not sure if you're accustomed, but you can't simply 'not pay VAT' on an item you purchase because you're American.

VAT will not be the problem, more to get the watch, would say 99% impossible!

But you never know, best of luck ;-)

Have a save trip and keep us posted.
