Have you ever flipped a Rolex, miss it, and bought it back?

I did so with the YM2 TT, I really liked the watch, but for some vanity reason I decided to trade it for haute horlogerie, a VC overseas dual time, which didn't have much staying power for me. I also thought the YM2 model was a little crass, but as I grew more into my skin, I find that I myself may not have the most sophisticated or traditionally classic taste.

After that I remembered how this watch made me feel: summer glory, breezy and happy, I love that the TT YM2 has such a different play of colours, its bold, its substantial, its me and I miss it!

So here I am again, with the same watch, might not be the watch for everyone, but I sure as hell love it!

Welcome back to the stables old friend!

Yes, my Deepsea. Bought twice, now waiting for the third, which is a charm. Won't be moving it this time.

Yes, the bluesy!

And I think the only way I'd let it go again would be for the 116618LB. They are too redundant to own both imo.

Yes. Two Blue TT Subs. Two Black Dial Explorer IIs. Two Blue Dial Air Kings. Two SS GMT II Cs. Two SS Daytonas. Three LVs ( Two I still have. ) The rest all gone. Came, gone, bought again and gone again.

The silver lining to this is while I burned through some money I enjoyed the purchases and it was back in the days of reasonable discounts on certain models. Did I lose money? Yes.

but I have a clear feeling now when I buy something if I will keep it or not and lately I have.

Regret selling my Deepsea black. Might replace it with the new James Cameron. Definitely regret selling my AP15202st. Can't buy it back without a super long wait or premium

I know that feels brother, all just part of the game, you win some you lose some, but damn the ride was fun!

More times than I care to admit, but all were enjoyable experiences that helped me realize exactly where my tastes are in watches and what I like and don't. All part of the collecting journey.

Um, never. In fact, I have 4 Rolex, one dating back to 2001.

Have never sold a Rolex, but have sold 2 Langes and a JLC.

No regrets on the non-Rolex models.

I acquired and flipped a 16570 three times. Beautiful watch, but the Sub, GMT, and DJs kept bumping it off my wrist.

Isn’t a 16750 a GMT?
