I used a "Rolex green" (or any color) thin felt sticker, cut in half and placed it on the underside of the clasp where the easylink makes contact. Cant even tell it on there. The felt stickers are usually used for the under sides of a vase to protect your table tops. Buy these in a pack of 30 for under $4.00. Just replace with a new one when needed.
This is a simple idea but seems very effective.

Great Idea

Here is a link to the 3M film I purchased used:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It works perfectly. I put it on the raised portion of my oyster bracelet clasp before I could get any scratches on it. The clasp is the part that touches my aluminum Apple notebook computer and also anything else I rest my wrist on. I write (type) for a living so my wrist spends a great deal of time resting on metal, wood, or plastic surfaces.

Thanks tape works great but keen to try something else and the waterproof part sounds good!

I'm really not that scared of a few scratches. It is a Rolex...

OPs solution is great.

3m tape on the clasp reminds me of this thread:

Same here. It is a watch after all, not a Faberge Egg!
What do you guys do with your fancy cars? Wrap them in bubble wrap?

Agree if I have to put tape on my watch to wear it, I have taken the fun out of this hobby. But that’s just me. It is funny that these watches that were designed for flying, mountain climbing, race car driving and decompression diving need to be protected from a desk
