YG DD II, love mine but will probably switch to white dial with roman numbers.

Nice! I see your picture on my PC. How did you upload that photo (considering all the issues surrounding photos on TRF / Tapatalk today)?

Thanks!

I just used an iphone app called "resize image" to shrink the picture in my iphone (I think TRF limits the size to less than 1000x1000 pixels). No problem to upload. I am using safari to access the forum, not through Tapatalk though.

I've just ordered a replacement DD40 ; my first was a problematic early sample, so I've waited 18 months before ordering again.
It will be white gold, rhodium dial; four months wait and less discount these days. Looking forward to it, the DD is the heart of Rolex, to me at least.
Of all the Rolexes I have had, which is quite a lot, the DD felt best on my wrist. That's why I am buying another.

peterskinner, what happened to the faulty DD40? did you return it to Rolex or sold to grey dealer? I'm looking for a DD40 and would like to trade in a few watches to make it happen but now getting cautious about the 2016-2017 models..

Anyway if faulty Rolex warranty should fix it?

The AD took it back. The problem with early samples was that the change-over was faulty, and often changed 90 minutes late. If you bought one used, the Rolex guarantee would cover it being updated.

You still need to becareful. I would bet there are still early examples that havent had the fix implemented and they would still suffer the late date change issues.

If you buy the latest releases like the White dial ones they will be ok for sure. But if its a dial that was available when they first released I would test it first over a few nights. Even the Olive green ones had issues and that was released a complete year after the initial release.

That really is a beautiful piece. It was on my very short list but ended up choosing the YG SkyDweller with the Roman numerals. It was a very difficult decision. Looks great on you!

The best two colors for the DD40 IMHO. I love them both.

I tend to agree, but I would also add the deep blue that they used a few years back.
