Got bracelet sized today, need opinions

Hey all, so today the jeweler removed a few links and the watch feels good for the most part. I’ve attached a picture showing how I wear it when it’s most comfortable. It still allows me to tighten it 1 notch which would be just on the cusp of being too tight.

I need opinions if I should go back and ask for a half link to be removed which would put my comfortable position more centered in the clasp. We settled on this combination as removing one more whole link from the 12 o’clock side left the watch too tight with the glidelock at its outermost position.

That aside, the watch feels comfortable and sits nicely on the wrist. I attached another on-wrist that I took after the adjustment because I love this watch!

Thanks in advance

You will get lots of answers here. IMO it all depends on how much your wrist swells and contracts during the day. My Skydweller is looser than I would like but is too tight with a link removed. My sub, with the glidelock gets adjusted multiple times during the day. My wrist size changes significantly every day.

Yeah it seems pretty subjective from the research I’ve been doing. I’ve only had it for 2 days so maybe I should give it more time to get used to it and see if I even need another adjustment

Use the glidelock for fine adjustments rather than have the link removed

Personally, I’d rather be a little looser than tight but I think the size of the watch plays a part too. A heavy watch may flop about too much on the wrist. That said, with a tight watch you have no where to go.

I used to think this wrist swelling stuff was rubbish, but having been through a particularly humid spell in the U.K. I understand exactly the issue now....

I'd rather have it a little loose than too tight.
Just give it time, you'll find your 'comfy' setting......eventually.

I removed my half link and it fits much better on my wrist. With it removed I have the glide lock right in the middle but I almost never move it anyway. Could’ve been in my head too but it just didn’t fit right with the half link, maybe it changes the way the bracelet bends around the wrist.

I have the same watch and in my opinion that would be worth it - to go back and ask for a further link to be removed. With the obvious exception if you are likely to be wearing it outside of your clothing. Also, do you always wear the watch touching your hand like that? The wrist is generally considered to be behind the end of the ulna/radius bones. You seem to be wearing it on top.

You haven't mentioned your wrist size but normally wearing 4 links @6 works best for small wrist. But your glide lock really should cover all bases.

how many links on each side?
IT SHOULD NEVER BE 5 AND 5 OR 6 AND 6.

It has to be 6x4 or 7x5 if you want the clasp centered.

I don't care what anyone says, wrists all work the same and the 12pm side has to be longer as it wraps longer around your wrist.

Having as the base setting the glide lock on the outest setting does not makes sense to me as you no longer have any adjustment left

How large is your wrist?

I have a 7” wrist and I wear mine with 5.5 at 12 o’clock and 5 at 6 o’clock for a perfect fit with the glidelock evenly centered so I can adjust as required.

For me I moved the half-link to the other side and it centered the clasp better. I typically wear my glidelock with 3 “notches” showing inside the clasp. I almost never adjust it.

For Sky Dweller, there’s micro adjustment inside the clasp. I don’t have issue with Sky-D fit previously.

You don't want to have ur glidelock at the outermost position when almost tight on ur wrist. How u going to adjust it for a wetsuit lol, u want it to be in the middle or in the tightest position so when u need the extra room u can adjust the glidelock out.

If this has the glidelock you don’t need any links out, you can change in a second

I size my glidelock watches with the glidelock all the way in. I can adjust outwards from there. YMMV.

Based your pic, you actually have several tighter positions for the glidelock.

Exactly, I wouldn’t remove anymore links. If you need a pinch tighter do it in the Glidelock.
