I'd say, one can wear any outfit with any watch! No rules, if you are happy and confident you can wear a clock and still be good.

If it fits under your cuff without awkward stuffing, a big watch is fine for anywhere up to business-medium in my opinion. If it doesn't fit, though, it has tacky overtones in some situations.
