Well all i wanted was a 233, or a 212/213, until i tried the 1950s luminor a couple of times, today being the second visit and as hard as it is to let a dream watch fall off the list the 233 is now gone, size wise it's only slightly bigger than the normal 44mm luminor but it's just so deep and sits high on the wrist, which for me makes them a really impractical watch, the dome glass doesn't help either.
I also tried on a 177 and that was so sweet on the wrist, shame it's a handwind as it almost ticked all the boxes, i love the sandwich dial, i love titanium and i love the dial layout with the seconds sub-dial, but the movement kills it for me. So i came to quite a sad conclusion today, i don't really love any of the current Panerai on the market, i might just have to wait it out for another year to get a 44mm, because i'm just not willing to spend that sort of money on something that doesn't tick all the boxes. So if anyone at Panerai is reading this, please take the 177, put the 7750-P1 into it and send it along to me, or even better, remove the entire 233 movement and dial and stick it into the 177/240 case, i shall be the tester for this watch and won't even ask for payment

With the exception of the 249, I'm not sure of the prices but I think they fall into the category of under $10k;
1) 249 2) 190 3) 111 4) 005 5) 104

184 268 183 241 Nearly all Rads (fit so much better), with the addition of a 40mm Luminor, with a beautiful hobnail dial. |

I too almost bought the 233 when it was at the older $12,300 price, but held off. I'm glad I did though. I tried on one again recently, and it had sort of older, more conservative, more stately vibe to it, which isn't me. I love the dial layout, and especially the fact that it doesn't have the cyclops. |

249,s at 10,000 USD on Paneristi are not bnib or even 98%. I typically only buy from my AD however would purchase from CONUS if it was the right seller. I have had bad luck purchasing out of state. The 249 is in a class by itself. 10,000 usd is a fair deal and I will most likely purchase another but I do not see the right deal and am in no hurry. They seem to be steady at 12,000 to 13,000 USD.

Without hesitation the 98.
It is in the shop right now & I really am missing it Nothing serious, but the 2 year mark was up & I had one small concern. Should be back by Christmas.
