I think you’ll have to go into it with your eyes wide open, much like a Range Rover, and you’ll be happy. You’re sacrificing range, mpg (particularly vs a turbo diesel RR), interior fit and finish, status and over the short term resale. Over the long my bet is back on the toyota for resale. In return you get a very well equipped SUV with serious off road chops and an unquestioned track record of reliability. You get stealth wealth. You get less cost of maintenance. You get more exclusivity as only 1000 or so are sold per year in the states (though you could argue hey it’s a Toyota ). I use to drive only bmw and Porsche then one day enterprise gave me a 4runner and I fell head over heels. I owned two of them and then decided to splurge for the grail. A 4runner built without budget constraints. I can’t wait for the LC 300. I hope toyota continues to bring the LC to the US in toyota form. I am definitely biased. I’ve never had a bad one period. As they say, toyota isn’t a car company it’s a religion.

Wow, Tom. Sweet 200!!
The other day at work, I took a walk during lunch and walked by a new 200 that was parked on the street. I peeked inside and it looked really nice. I think the new Cruisers are much nicer than the new LXs. I can't stand the "Predator" grill that Lexus is now using on their cars. Do you plan on taking your rig off road? |

Thanks Wes! Honestly I went back and forth between the Lexus and the toyota but the land cruiser just felt right. Also our member Shannon (swils) offered me a great deal so it was an easy choice. I hope to do some light over landing but will likely need to get some sliders before any of that. So far very happy with it. Enjoy your new lx Quote:
Gorgeous! I had the same car in silverstone II on Sakhir Orange. Good god does it haul ass.

Yeah I’ve heard of them. Slee and budbuilt get a lot of good reviews as well. I was leaning budbuilt. Will have the see as I’m not really in a rush and they don’t come cheap. Mud is great but very very slow compared to TRF or other car forums. Only so many people crazy enough to drive these hogs

Nothing like the rasp of an S54 - Find an old HPF 2-2.5 kit and stuff in that shoe for the ULTIMATE sleeper. Keep stock wheels with upgraded rubber, reminds me of my 335i, I miss that vehicle.

That funny because I ordered silver and then saw the blue at a BMW event and was a bit jealous. It’s a really fun color

Awesome, Tom!! I remember you mentioned you were in the market for one. She's a beast.
Congrats. PS, I REALLY like the red tow-hooks.
