I was able to pick up a set of ED/EE Oysterflex straps yesterday through another TRF member. I've tried both Rubber B and Everest and they never quite satisfied me, so I was very happy to get a set of the Oysterflexes, even though I think they're insanely expensive. It has been something I've wanted to do for a while, especially since I love the 116519LN but find it a bit on the expensive end, and after I sold my Patek 5164 and now have a empty spot for a watch on rubber in my collection.

It was super easy to install and so far the sizing seems to spot on. I think it looks pretty good without the endlinks, but nonetheless I did order a set of the Smarty endlinks last night for the right finishing touch.

The only thing I might do in terms of fit is flip the strap around, such that the clasp is reversed. I'm noticing right now that the watch is heavily tilted towards the 12 o'clock side and reversing the clasp would balance it back out.

I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts!

This is my plan if I ever get "the call." I think it looks great, and would be a nicely different look if you have other non-OF Daytonas. But I think if you are going with genuine OF straps, you should use the endlinks to give it that OEM look, even though the endlinks are not Rolex-made.

Yup! I'm ahead of you - thanks to your and Chadri's recommendation, I ordered George's end links last night. That's the finishing touch that this baby needs!

So far, I love the OF setup as it really tones down the look of the watch and further highlights that beautiful white dial.

Hey that’s my sub coming up in that thread :). I have a new set of end links and when they come in I will post. The Sub C ones will not fit. George is awesome though he is giving me a Daytona set that will not have PCL.

To the OP looks great and advice for best fit put the EF at 12 position and EE at 6. I have my EF at 12 and EE at 6 and clasp is centered.

Thanks. I have the EE at 12 and ED at 6. If I wear the watch upside down then the watch is perfectly centred, so what I'm going to do is just flip the clasp upside down and it should be a perfect fit!

There ya go!!! It’s so funny how iffy the fit is on these Oysterflex’s. I tried on the rose gold yachtmaster and had the standard EE and EG perfect fit so I was able to source that and too big.

I made it work for a little bit, but I ended up buying a 93250 Sub clasp and perfect. The glidelock is so much better so found a EF size bought that sold the EG for identical price and then sold the 93250 clasp same price as well. Now perfect fit and centered with the glidelock. Yes I am OCD haha

That does look good and when you get the endlinks don't be telling people this is the WG... unless the SS is worth more and then you have to insist it's the SS!

I wouldn't dream of passing this one off as the WG... the WG Oysterflex is quite easily available around these parts, but white dial SS is a real unicorn, and even more so on the OF!

I almost pulled the trigger on the WG not long ago, and this is probably a good dry run. I actually think I prefer the look of the white dial contrasted with the OF strap now that I've worn it for a day.

Tom, it looks amazing. I can't wait to get my Daytona to do the exact same thing and I agree it does tone down the watch.

I ordered the smarty end links as well, as the other ones I have were to difficult to put the strap put in.

Have you tried placing the EE on the 6 o'clock side and ED on the 12, that might help?

At the beginning of the first day with it, I must admit I had some comfort issues with the inside of the strap - the "wings" seemed to dig into the wrist. Closer to the end of the day, that feeling went away.

Just a caveat for anyone considering an OF piece - it takes some getting used to at the start as the way that strap is designed is pretty unusual (and cool!)
