Question about Everose
Good morning TRFers. For all of you that own watches with everose, can you enlighten me on how scratch resistant (or not) everose is? I just purchased the new CHNR with the two-tone bracelet. I don't like to baby my watches as they are meant to be worn, but I just want to understand if I can expect scratches to be much more apparent than the steel. Much appreciated!

Ever-rose just refers to the colour's sustainability, as for scratches it marks up like any other gold and quite frankly 90% the same as SS in my experience, so really makes no difference.

I don't notice any difference between steel PCL or Gold PCL

Softer to scratch, but easier to polish out than 904L steel. Wear it like a sports watch and enjoy.

I have a yellow gold DayDate that I wear daily. It’s more than 25 years old. I have several steel Rolex as well.
I think the steel watches show scratches far more than my DayDate. |

Well... could describe hardness factors scientifically, but that's boring. Everose is durable, yet not as much as Rolex SS. You'll be fine, a few scratches here are there is normal for those who love their timepieces :)

Everose is the sustained luster of Rolex's rose gold. Normal rose gold develops a thin layer of oxidation on the surface after many years. So in the end, gold is gold.

Not much more to worry about in a TT watch. The case itself and the outside of the links are all steel. Hairlines on PM are not as bad looking as you would think, especially PM with color.
