My 11610 Sub. Pre ceramic, pre maxi case. The one watch I will never sell.

I would have to revert back to the DJ41. I guess...
It’s surprising how when the chips are down, the humble Datejust comes out on top.

My sentiments echo yours, but it would be a VERY close run thing with the GMT.

Currently a one watch guy, only because the Rolex is my crown jewel (pun intended) and i have a few others but none in this category..

My choice for my first and (currently) only Rolex is the GMT II

Needed something not ubiquitous and that has a respectably complicated movement...a tool watch in every sense of the way, but not a "one trick pony" like some of the other divers out there.. hour, date, 24hr, third time zone, compass if you get lost.. dam!

SD43 for me. It’s got good presence, perfect proportions, just enough color with the splash of red and it’s a special model.

It would be my Breitling. Chronomat I guess. Has a chronograph, a dive bezel, and 500m water resistance. Not my favourite but my most versatile watch. I only wish it had a GMT hand too.

Already there with my 114060 and it’s serving that role very well. Only thing I’d take over it would be a 4 digit sub in great shape...love those painted dials.

OP is a great choice too though and I can see why it was picked!

I recently bought a white dial OP 34mm to serve as a daily, and I'm very satisfied so far. The new beefier case makes it wear like a 36mm Explorer, and the dial is super crisp with Arabic numerals. It actually looks like a white Explorer.. that would be my choice for a one-and-only. New technology combined with a retro style and super comfortable for everyday wear.

ExpII White dial or BLNR. I could happily wear either one forever

Would hate to have to make that choice but I’d probably have to go with the Smurf

I don't own it, but I'd pick the lovely Smurf. I find that shade of blue combined with WG to be hypnotic and magical (just like Pete's post above!). Tried one on a couple of times and I think of it often. Maybe some day. Otherwise, I really do like my LVc which is a keeper for me. Cheers!

The one watch you would wear forever (Hodinkee)

Edited. I did not notice that we were only selecting from production models. In that case, I’d want to hang onto the 116619. Greet thread topic, if I could read

own it, must say the red is there only when I search for it. not like my DRSD that it "pops"

for me the 1 w'd be the SD4K (or the new pepsi :-))
