Thanks for all the replies, I’m thinking of picking up an iPad 2018, the basic one but you can use the pencil with it now which is handy.

Wish they would make an new iPad mini really.

I run my life and business with iPads. They’re easily powerful enough for me. I haven’t had a laptop or desktop for three years now, and certainly don’t miss them.

There should be an update to the Apple Ipad pro in Sept.

iPad mini here along with iPhone 8 and MacBook. iPad gets used probably 90% of the time.

And as a bonus, I can watch movies or listen to tunes on the plane.

I do the same thing. I use my iPad Pro to take notes at meetings (I use Notability) and to keep an electronic filing system for articles with electronic highlighting. If I see an article relevant to my practice, I import a PDF version of it and can electronically highlight and write notes in the margins. SO I have my whole filing system with me at all times. With Remote Desktop, I can log into work although since it is mouse-based, it isn't ideal.

I use IPad Air 2 for all internet browsing, news, forums, ebay, in flights, etc as the screen is large enough. I only use internet on iPhone where I can’t take the iPad as the iPhone screen is too small. I have a MacBook Pro for heavier use such as spreadsheets, etc and also a windows laptop for other programmes. The iPad Air 2 is indespensible to me though. I won’t get the IPad Pro as it’s too large to use where I can’t use MacBook Pro.

I have an iPad Air 2 and an iPhone X. That’s all the “computers” in my home. I find I can do all I need on either of those

Same for our household. Most activity is on our iPads; rarely even use our desktop.
