Icon7 Which Rolex Under $9,000 USD?

Which new Rolex watch under $9,000 should I get? This will be my first Rolex, and I would like to wear it every day. Thank you.

Depends on if you can live with a watch with no date. I wear a Tudor Black Bay in my rotation and find that I don't miss the date complication at all. Also, I prefer the symmetry of the dial on watches without dates. In the end, go with what you like best, I don't think you can really go wrong

Get the one with the date. Its actually a very useful complication. Or for your budget I'd seriously look at an explorer 2 or even a 5 digit sub.

BLNR (Batman) GMT retails for $8950 if you get it at an AD (it’s selling for a premium through the secondary market).

It’s an incredible watch. Beautiful and with date and the gmt complication.

Go an extra $250 and get the BLRO in stainless.

For a one watch wearing it all the time its hard to beat the SubC date. If you don't need a date complication then the no date is great too. I have a BLNR but as a one watch the PCL's may not always fit depending on your lifestyle choices. However the BLNR can still pull it off, just the SubC does it easier dressing up or down.

Now you just have to find one at an AD. Good luck!

Awesome watch, but probably not feasible considering it’s his first and I doubt he would be willing to pay a 100%+ premium to acquire it immediately.

Better looking but you will probably miss the date complication.

Another vote for the SubC, very cool watch. I do not miss the date function at all.

As above, SubC Date. As nice as the colored GMTs may be, supply issues aside, I would find colour too much for an everyday watch I’d want to wear in the office

114060 and you still have good money left to take your Missus out on the town

It wouldn't be new but I'd consider 16710 and get all 3 inserts for it. It looks great on straps too.

Both are great. I personally went with the 114060 (no date). They are days in which I wish for the date model. Both are classic, neither will disappoint.

Sub C date, Explorer II, Milgauss, Air King, DJ... Lots of great options! Of all those, for me it is the Sub C date!

Love the date window
Looks really different having one
Go for the SubC
Robust
Classic
Reliable
And with history
Matches suits or plain clothing
Adjustable size and can be used at the beach

Downsides
Common and many other brands have copied its style
I dont care about that personally

Other than that its a must for any real Rolex follower in my opinion
