The last watch she gave me a few years ago was a 38mm SS Omega AT with a brown strap white face and 18k gold hands....I liked it plus the store was going out of biz...she paid 3950 for it brand new. Since she died its the only watch ive worn or will wear so im getting rid of my Rolex/Omega/Breitling collection.....Keeping just the AT Omega. IMHO to Stop thinking of the person you have to get rid of stull that reminds you if them....which im doing except the one Omega.
I told my friend at a Mustang club meeting...I really dont want to ever get involved with anybody again and have to learn to be happy with my cats myself only. I still wear my wedding ring and plan to the rest of my life out of respect for my wife. Kinda answer your question....I dont understand why you cant find anybody.....being an ex Navy Pilot etc.
I would be thinking you would have to carry a bat to beat them off of you....You have lived a life most of us guys only dream of.

Thank you for the kind words Greg and I wish you continued healing from your loss. Truth be told, I’m not terribly bad looking, witty, very charming, and I pride myself on being a gentleman. I have never really had a problem connecting with women for dating, but very rarely do I have ... deep “feelings” like I did for this particular one. It was an incredibly happy year and it ended so abruptly without much of a reason. So it was (is) hard to move on.

A couple have asked about me dating younger, to be honest, I don’t seek them out, it just happens. The last couple women I dated happen to be millennials. The last two actually asked ME out. The one we were discussing I met at a wedding. I was talking to her, making jokes, danced with her, at the end of the evening she said: “I have really enjoyed this evening, would you like to have dinner sometime?” I turned around to see who she was talking to thinking “boy, that guy is lucky” when I realized it was me. I have found, and this is good news for us baby boomer middle aged men , millennial men treat women absolutely terribly. By treating the young ladies with respect as a gentleman should, they enjoy being with me. I am not a dirty old man.... (well, actually I AM...). Anyway, this thread was started late at night, my thoughts were on the good times with her, but the future has been destined. She has not contacted me and I erased her info from my phone.

Somebody pick on Jocke.
