I decide what I want and do the research and go buy the watch if it is within my power. I have a good relationship with my AD and several other TS so usually it just comes down to price. I have tried to move away from the game of looking, flipping and buying and have gotten back into wearing the watches. The hunt, negotiation and acquisition can become addictive and it easily becomes about that and not wearing the watch.

I tend to favour the patience pays off approach, when/if it happens, it happens, and its not the end of the world when it doesnt.
My last 2 watches found me, 1 was a long hunt, the other was a choice between 4 watches on a tray at an AD. |

I’m not a chaser, I prefer the patient approach. After all they’re just watches,
