Buying from jewelry store or a private jeweler??

Went to large mall Rolex store to look at datejust and was told that it’s $7350.

My private jeweler can sell it at 20-30% off (his wholesale price).

The large mall Rolex store told me that wholesale prices don’t exist and those could be stolen Rolex’s. To not trust someone that sells them lower than msrp, from a non-Rolex certified dealer. They freaked me out.

Thoughts?? Help!!!

We're going to need more details on this "private jeweler" person. Lurk around here a bit and you'll read enough about Trusted Sellers to get an idea of what you are looking for in a non-AD who is selling you a Rolex. You certainly don't want to buy from just anyone as it could be a fake or a franken watch. Be patient, do some research, and good luck!

Box and papers with the watch?

If he is not an AD how is he getting a "wholesale price"?

Sorry but I would be cautious, it has nothing to do with what the Rolex AD said, it has to do with common sense.

Welcome, I would always say buy the seller do research on the person you would consider buying from , and look on ths forum for info that may be helpful
