Yes, but this IS the Rolex Forum, not Dr. Phil. This was a pretty pretentious post, and without the mention of a watch. 🤷*♂️

Let's take this thread as a gentle reminder that the world we live in doesn't revolve around us and that in the grand scheme of things, we are all rather insignificant. Otherwise, this entertained me

Is it safe to wear a Rolex while retired at the age of 49?

Ahhh, and now we find out what the title of this thread should have been. I would say 50 would be safe.

Just reread the OP, it was even better the second time around. If I had to narrow it down, this is prob my favorite part.

I wonder if "early retirement" is a comon conversation starter with customers on the side gig.

A bit OT, but I like food and personally prefer to go try a new place vs sit in my hotel room ordering room service. It's especially funny when you go to a big restaurant and they have the "traveler" section where there is a group of several 2 person tables all occupied by individuals...

If you are going to the movies alone, why don't you please contact a residential facility, get the clearance, and take a senior citizen with you?
People who live alone in managed care buildings, who are still independent and mobile, would love to "go and do" once in awhile. Many live there with no children, or children not available to do activities with them.

Seniors are so interesting, have wonderful stories to tell. It could enrich your life in your very spare time.

If people are trying to make you feel guilty or ashamed about not working, then they're being pretty rude.

I didn't have time to read this whole thread, but you should also count your blessings. Your dad hired you into a family business and cut you an ownership slice. He also sent you to a very good private college. I'm not saying you didn't work hard, but most people never get the kinds of opportunities you had.

Why? Some people enjoy being by themselves. Why is it 'sad' to be alone and enjoy something doing by yourself? Who are you to judge?

I get where you are coming from but who has got the time to go the movies during the day?
