MAN I love my hybrid

In San Diego, it is not uncommon to spend (way) over $4.00 for a gallon of gas. My last two vehicles, a Ford Escape and a Ford Fusion, have both been Hybrids and boy does that make me happy. And this picture is not from a stripped down Prius, my Fusion is a Titanium model, mid size with lots of room and extras. I just filled up again (I do about once a month) and am very glad to see the average for the last tank.

When I get in my truck and see 12MPG average, I start thinking a hybrid makes a lot of sense. If I didn't drive 5 miles a day I would have to have one. Savings on gas= more TUMI!

You guys need to live on the east coast. $2.50/gallon here. Gas guzzlin' V-8? No problem! Pedal to the metal.

Hybrid driver since 2006 here, not going back to a standard car EVER.

I like the Fusion Paul,it's called Mondeo back in here. Funnily enough I've just seen one for the first time today and it looks huge ! Price is crazy, you're looking at 32.500 euro, roughly 38K dollars, nobody would spend that kind of money on a Ford especially when you have such stiff competition with Toyota, but I do like the car indeed.

Wife had a Prius and then a Rav 4 hybrid. Both good vehicles. We took the Prius to So Cal and back a couple times. Actually a pretty good traveling car. I fit in it OK and we could get two sets of clubs in and luggage. The last trip to Palm Springs cost us like 280 in gas....She got an MB this time and we looked at their plug in GLC but wanted to wait a bit to see how they do. I test drove a Cayenne E plug in and that was a cool ride. We will see a bunch of e and hybrid cars coming from the Germans in the next few years.

My AMG gets terrible mileage :(

MAN I love my hybrid

Check out the new Prius Prime Paul! Toyota’s newest and best hybrid technology! It’s very rare a customer purchases a hybrid and doesn’t purchase another one. Very loyal owner base.

Curious why MAN is all in caps.

Shouldn’t LOVE be all caps?

Right back at you Paul.

At least it’s now out in the open.

Thankfully. It was hard to hide for this long.

I average 15-16mpg in my Cruiser. Not too bad for a 6000lb SUV with 33s.

I imagine you do a little bit better.

Just filled up yesterday and it was $2.51 a gallon here in Va. My 2 trucks get 17 and 21 MPG respectively, and that’s fine. At $4 I’d think hybrid also. Well maybe, lol. I still have that mental block about them

I have friends who drive responsible vehicles and it is by choice not by financial need. Not for me. For me, my car is a part of who I am and I am not the hybrid/electric car person. I am not slamming the people that are it is just not for me. I live close to center city in my area and don't drive a lot of miles but it would not slow me down if gas was $10 a gallon. I always get a kick out of the lists that tell what kind of person you are by what you drive. Some truth to it I believe.

Hate to throw this in here (but I will anyway) my Tesla uses zero gas and goes zero to sixty in 2.5 seconds.

Been driving a Tesla for 4 years.
