My son is self-publishing a fiction thriller novel. Upon having it fully developmentally and copy edited, he’s now at the phase of marketing the book. Any advice/suggestions on how to go about marketing a self-published novel? Is it worthwhile to outsource this task to a freelance marketer on Thumbtack, Fiverr, Angie’s List, et cetera?

Are the cover design and page layouts ready? If not, you can pay to have that done by a publisher who also has a design/marketing/distribution capacity.
